        Reasons to Join

Boyle have one of the best first deposit bonuses More crazy fish than at other sites Excellant VIP program Great poker radio show!

        Signing Up

        10/10

Signing up and opening an account with Boylepoker is nice and easy. The download is simple and quick, meaning you will be ready to go within no time.

If the quick start-up was not enough to impress, Boyles first deposit bonus certainly is, off the top of my head it is easily one of the best offers out there for players.
Your first deposit will be matched at a rate of 200% upto $600. That means a deposit of $300 will see a $600 bonus appear on your account information, just waiting to be cleared as you play. The bonus is released in increments of $5,meaning you will see a nice and steady flow of "free money" streaming into your account the more you play.

        Software

        9/10

Boylepoker is a part of the ever-growing ipoker network. I am sure the majority of players are familiar with the network as there are so many sites available to choose from within it, which of course is a great thing for us players as the rooms are forced to compete amongst each other to provide the most incentive for you and Boylepoker does pretty well on that score! The lobby is well laid-out. Each game type is assigned its own section,so whatever your choice of game is, be it cash, STT or MTT you can easily filter to see just those games. There is also a link to casino, should you fancy a venture to the dark side. Everything you need is easy to find on the main lobby page, with quick links to cashier, options and support.

There is also a "buddy list", although this would probably be better named the "fish list", nice and easy to keep track of where your "favourite" players are, happy hunting!

        Ring Games

        8/10

There is no shortage of action at Boylepoker cash games. You will find plenty of tables running 24/7 at all levels and all variations of the game. They provide limit,no limit and pot limit holdem.Limit and pot limit omaha as well as omaha hi/lo. 7 and 5 card stud is available for the more "experienced" player, for those of you under 30 years of age, don't worry, I don't know what they are either. There are of course heads-up tables aplenty, with heads-up games having exploded in the poker world over the last 18 months. The standard of play at the cash tables is very mixed but there are definetley more weak players than sharks, and of course plenty of French and Italian players, which is never a bad thing.

        Tournaments

        9/10

The tournament scene at Boylepoker is where the most value is to be found in my opinion, certainly if MTT's are your choice of game.
The ipoker network provides a very nice middle ground, with the fields having plenty of runners, while not being too big like the main American sites, but still bigger than most other networks and so ensuring those opportunities for a big cash remains. Again, there is something for everyone to be found, with good value tournaments available at all buy-in levels starting from $1,$2 and $5 freezeouts and rebuys as well as the likes of $100 rebuys and $200,$300 freezes. Great tournament series such as the ECOOP(European Championships Of Online Poker) also provide the buzz of a big MTT series. The standard of play in MTT is generally poor, weak and very exploitable.Ipoker recently improved their MTT structure as well, which provides even more room to make your skill advantage pay against your opponents, their tournaments certainly come highly reccomended.

        Sit & Gos

        8/10

There is a lot of action and variety for sit & go's at Boylepoker. The same game types are available whether you are looking to invest $1 or $500 in a game. Boyles provide your regular 10 seater,6 seater and heads-up sit & go's. All of these are available at regular speed, turbo and super turbo. Of course now also there is the new craze in the sit & go world, which are the "double or nothing" games, where you begin with either 10 or 6 players, half of whom double their money while the other half,as suggested by the name, get nothing. These games seem to be growing more and more popular. Deepstack sit & go's are also available if you want a one table game with more room to make plays.

Boyles have a STT promotion to be found on their "jackpot" tables. These are all 6 handed sit & go's,and if you manage to win 6 in a row you will receive a huge bonus payment, with a consolation prize for 6 top 2 finishes in a row (for example, win 6 $20 stt's in a row, and you get a $35,000 bonus. 6 top 2 finishes in a row and get $300) so while the odds are obviously stacked againt you, you will certainly be handsomly rewarded if you manage to pull it off.
The standard of play in stt is quite poor, with a lot of players just donating money in the long run.

        Support

        9/10

Boyles support is top notch. Live support as well as email, and both are very helpful, polite and friendly. A good support team is a very underrated asset to a poker site and so you will often find some of them leave a lot to be desired but Boyles are ahead of the game yet again here.

        Banking

        9/10

Getting funds to and from your Boyles account is easy. Boyles accept deposits via all of the main routes, debit/credit card and ewallets (neteller, moneybookers etc). There is also a player to player transfer facility which is useful if you have friends on the site and one or both of you are in urgent need of funds. If you have a Boylesports account you can easily just transfer funds between that and your Boylepoker account also. Another plus is of course that you can simply pop down to your local Boylesports shop and deposit/withdraw from there.

        Standard of Players

        9/10

The overall standard of players at Boylepoker is certainly below average, across all game types.
There are a lot of weak/tight players who seem happy to break-even and grind out bonuses, and then there are the crazy loose fish who just randomly donate their money and chips, you just have to exploit the weak ones and put yourself in a position to take the lunatic's chips. Definetly a profitable site for a good player.

        Loyalty Promotions

        9/10

Boylepoker boast an impressive VIP programme. The more you play the higher status you will have on the programme. Each level of status has its own differing rewards, but each has weekly and monthly freerolls as well as 200% monthly reload bonuses.

Certainly gives you something back as a reward for choosing Boylepoker as your site to play on.

        Summary

        8.9/10

Boylepoker as a poker brand have exploded onto the scene over the last year or two. They seem to be getting more dynamic in their approach at the same time as their competitors are taking their feet off the pedals due to the economic situation, Boyles seem determined to ride it out and make sure they are recognised as a leading name in the game.
They have certainly attained a welcome stranglehold on the Irish poker scene, thanks in no small part to having Marty Smyth and Padraig Parkinson as sponsored pro's, while also having Scott Grey and the up and coming John O Shea(no not that one) on their books. Their innovation is to be seen in their attempts to offer somthing new and fresh to the poker comminity. I am an avid listener to the Boyles sponsored Pokershow Live which is hosted by Jesse May, Padraig Parkinson and Matt Broughton, which can be found at http://www.thepokershowlive.com/ on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings from 8pm-11pm. The names already on the show include Brunson, Hellmuth, Eastgate, Durrrr, Tilly et al, proving again that Boylepoker have firlmly arrived on the scene and are a site to be associated with.
